At Maison PLATZ, we recognize the importance of a traditional burial ceremony to honor the memory of your loved one. The initial contact can be made by phone, email, visiting one of our locations, or by having us come to your home. If the death occurs at home, the Maison PLATZ team will also come on-site at any hour to handle the initial procedures and collect the body with the chosen coffin. According to Luxembourg law, the period between death and burial is 72 hours. If necessary, Maison PLATZ can request an extension of this period from the Public Health authorities.
We work closely with you to create a meaningful and personalized ceremony that reflects the values and beliefs of the deceased. Depending on the wishes and convictions of the deceased and their family, we establish contact with the relevant religious representative or, in the case of a civil burial, with a local municipal official. We also handle communication with the stonemason of your choice. For the burial arrangements, Maison PLATZ offers additional services such as personalized music selection, floral arrangements, a framed photo of the deceased, and customizable crosses or memorial plaques.
